Sun Siyam Resorts, a hospitality group based in the Maldives, has announced the appointment of Intrepid Marketing & Communications as its public relations representative for the Indian market. The collaboration is intended to enhance the group’s visibility among Indian travellers and support its broader sales and marketing strategy in the region.
India continues to be a significant outbound tourism market, with increasing demand for coastal and island destinations offering personalised and premium travel experiences. With this context, Sun Siyam Resorts aims to deepen its engagement through focused media partnerships and communication initiatives that highlight the group’s unique offerings.
The group was founded by Ahmed Siyam Mohamed and has grown from a travel agency into a hospitality brand that owns and operates five private-island resorts in the Maldives and one beachfront property in Sri Lanka. These include Sun Siyam Olhuveli, Sun Siyam Iru Fushi, Sun Siyam Iru Veli, Sun Siyam Vilu Reef, Siyam World, and Sun Siyam Pasikudah in Sri Lanka.
Rakesh Gupta, Account Director for the Indian market, will lead the collaboration at Intrepid Marketing & Communications. Both teams will work jointly to ensure that public relations efforts are aligned with sales and business development objectives in India.
