The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has justified the party members’ act of boycotting the Chief Minister’s reply on the motion thanking the Governor’s address in the Assembly and Council on Saturday, demanding an apology from the CM for his ‘mortuary’ comments against former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

Speaking at the media point and BRSLP office, party legislators T. Harish Rao, V. Prashanth Reddy, K.P. Vivekanand, P. Rajeshwar Reddy, L. Ramana, T. Madhu, K. Kavitha, and Naveen Kumar Reddy, said that Mr. Revanth Reddy’s comments clearly indicate that he was wishing “KCR’s death”.

They alleged that the Chief Minister had failed to give clarity on the promises made by the Congress in his three-hour reply in the Assembly, which they had followed from outside.

The ‘vendetta’ intentions of the CM became known from Day one starting with taking away the chambers usually meant for the Leader of the Opposition as also the election of Public Accounts Committee Chairman.

On Minister for Irrigation N. Uttam Kumar Reddy’s speech, Mr. Harish Rao said it was the Congress party that was responsible for the ‘injustice’ to Telangana in Krishna waters. The late P. Janardhan Reddy opposed the expansion of Pothireddypadu head regulator and Mr. Uttam Reddy remained silent for the sake of his post. It was the BRS Government led by Mr. Rao that had achieved Section 3 reference on the Krishna waters and secured a stay in the NGT on Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme (RLIS).
