Mumbai: Arch-rivals India and Pakistan, who came close to a full-scale war amid heightened tensions in May, are set to clash on October 5 in Colombo during the 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup — jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka.As per the hybrid model agreed upon by the BCCI and PCB earlier this year, Pakistan will play all their matches in Colombo, a neutral venue. Consequently, Harmanpreet Kaur & Co. will travel to Colombo for the marquee group-stage clash.The eight-team tournament, played in a round-robin format before the final, begins on September 30, with hosts India taking on Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. Defending champions Australia face Trans-Tasman rivals and T20 world champions New Zealand in Indore on October 1.
The first semifinal will be played in Guwahati or Colombo (depending on Pakistan’s qualification) on October 29, and the second in Bengaluru on October 30.
