Water level in Stanley Reservoir at Mettur touched 113 feet against the full reservoir level of 120 feet on Wednesday.
According to officials from the Water Resources Department, the water level stood at 113 feet at 8 a.m. while the storage was 82.74 tmc ft, compared to the full capacity of 93.47 tmc ft. The inflow stood at 6,234 cusecs, while the discharge into Cauvery River was 1,000 cusecs.
Meanwhile, water level in Bhavanisagar Dam in Erode district stood at 82.75 feet, against its full reservoir level of 105 feet. As of 2 p.m., the inflow was 1,387 cusecs, while the discharge into River Bhavani for drinking purposes was 150 cusecs and 700 cusecs into Arakkankottai and Thadapalli Channels. The storage was 17.18 tmc ft, against the total capacity of 32.80 tmc ft.
