A review meeting on revamping and enhancing security at the Alipiri Check Point was held at the Conference Hall of the TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati here on Wednesday.

TTD Executive Officer J. Syamala Rao, along with Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, met representatives from RAXA, a renowned security solutions company and an off-shoot of the GMR Group.

RAXA presented a PowerPoint presentation detailing their observations and suggestions for modernising and improving security measures at the checkpoint.

After the PPT, Mr. Rao exhorted the company to provide both long and short-term solutions to overcome the protracted delay taking place during the process of security check.

He also suggested certain measures like setting up physical barriers to prevent cross-overs, replacing existing luggage scanners with more advanced rugged scanners and simultaneously increasing their number besides exploring the possibility of installing a luggage conveyor belt at the checkpoint to avoid the delay for the present.

He also asked RAXA to come up with permanent additional security options that would cater to the needs of the management for the next two decades.

The meeting was attended by, among others, RAXA CEO Amit Dar, Joint Executive Officer Veerabrahmam, and other senior officials from TTD.
