The Taiwan Tourism Administration (TTA), the official tourism body of Taiwan, has reaffirmed its commitment to the Indian market with the renewal of its representative office appointment. Following government procurement procedures, TTA has awarded Blink Brand Solutions the mandate to continue serving as its exclusive partner in India for the second consecutive year.
Since its re-entry into the Indian market in January 2024, TTA has positioned Taiwan as one of the fastest-growing outbound destinations from India. In 2024, the island nation welcomed 38,158 Indian visitors, reflecting a 20.81% growth over the previous year. The positive trajectory has continued in 2025, with January–June arrivals reaching 22,687 Indians, representing a 22.01% year-on-year increase.
Paul Shih, Director of TTA’s Singapore Office, highlighted Taiwan’s progress in India, stating: “As Taiwan’s official tourism agency, TTA remains committed to promoting the country to Indian travellers. Personally, I have immense faith in the burgeoning Indian outbound travel market and that is also amply evident in the growth that Taiwan registered in tourist arrivals from India last year. TTA’s market development efforts in India have been well rewarded by Indian travellers. Taiwan registered nearly 2.5 times more growth than the overall growth of around 8.44% that Indian outbound travel registered for 2024. We remain bullish about the Indian market.”The continuation of the strategic partnership will allow TTA India to design, plan, and implement a wide range of marketing and promotional activities. These will include media outreach, engagement with the travel trade, and campaigns to strengthen Taiwan’s visibility and positioning in India.
Commenting on the partnership, Shih added: “Continuation of our strategic partnership shows our immense faith in the Indian market and the unique ability of TTA India to deliver results for Taiwan. We will continue to roll out some pioneering market-focussed initiatives that closely engage with our travel industry partners in India and lead Taiwan’s efforts in India to create great vibes and visibility about our destination’s unique locations, unrivalled value and extraordinary holiday experiences.”
Aligned with its global campaign “Taiwan – Waves of Wonder,” TTA is set to expand product offerings and outreach in India this year. The administration aims to showcase Taiwan’s diverse strengths spanning luxury, incentives, adventure, golf, and LGBTQ+ inclusive travel experiences while working closely with the Indian outbound trade to create long-term value.
