Prime Minister Narendra Modi called upon the new recruits for various Central government organisations, to consider their job as a golden opportunity to serve the citizens, irrespective of the position, department or place of posting.

The Prime Minister addressed 51,000 new recruits at the 16th Rozgar Mela, organised simultaneously at 47 locations across the country, in virtual mode on Saturday.

In Visakhapatnam, the programme was organised at the Sagarmala Conventions of Visakhapatnam Port Authority.

“Irrespective of your post and department, you should strive to live up to the expectations of the citizens by attending to their needs,” Mr. Modi told the recruits and congratulated them.

He spoke at length on the welfare schemes launched by the Central government, which were intended to generate indirect employment in various sectors apart from safeguarding the interests of the beneficiaries for whom they were meant.

Earlier in the day, Union Minister of Civil Aviation K. Ram Mohan Naidu, who participated in the Rozgar Mela from Visakhapatnam, urged the new recruits for the Railways, India Post, and other Central government organisations to work with dedication and commitment.

He called upon the 52 recruits from Visakhapatnam to work with dedication in the roles assigned to them. “Getting a government job should not be the end goal. One should aim to go higher. You should also contribute to the growth of the nation, thereby contributing to the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat,” Mr. Ram Mohan Naidu.

Visakhapatnam North MLA P. Vishnu Kumar Raju and Divisional Railway Manager (Waltair) Lalit Bohra also spoke. Later, the Union Minister and other dignitaries handed over the appointment letters to the new recruits in Visakhapatnam.
