Pakistani actor Nimra Khan shares 7-day diet plan following which she lost 8 kilos in a week

Nimra Khan, a popular Pakistani actor known for series like Kis Din Mera Viyah Howay Ga, recently shared her weight loss routine. In a show, Nimra revealed that she lost almost 8 kilos in just a week following a very strict diet.
Here’s how the 34 year old achieved the extraordinary weight loss within 7 days. Nimra has revealed that she ate three egg whites, soaked chia seeds in lukewarm water, lemon and honey, apple and green tea for the entire day for a week.
“To lose weight, you need to set clear goals first,” Nimra said in the interview. “I had an apple every three hours and green tea every two hours. This routine was repeated in the morning, afternoon, and evening for seven days,” she revealed in the show.
“It was a 7-day diet plan, and no one has ever completed it for more than 4 days. Most people remain consistent for the first 3 days but give up by the 4th day,” she added.

Are crash diets healthy?

While the diet looks promising, there are a few caveats everyone must know. The diet is restrictive and lacks nutrients. While it may lead to short-term weight loss due to severe calorie deficit, it is not a balanced or sustainable approach.
Egg whites contain protein, which is essential for muscle health, and chia seeds contain fiber and omega-3 fatty acids that aid digestion and heart health. Green tea contains antioxidants and can mildly increase metabolism. The diet is not sufficient in carbohydrates, healthy fats, and necessary vitamins and minerals. Lack of complex carbohydrates and calories can result in weakness, fatigue, and lack of concentration.
For healthy weight loss, a balanced diet that consists of lean proteins, healthy fats, whole grains, and vegetables is important. Severe dieting causes slowing down of metabolism, muscle loss, and nutrient deficiencies. It can also induce cravings and result in overeating once normal eating patterns resume.
A healthier and more efficient way to lose weight would be by having balanced meals with plenty of nutrients. Incorporating foods such as whole grains, nuts, seeds, vegetables, and lean protein while keeping a calorie deficit will ensure gradual and stable fat loss. Proper hydration and regular exercise are also important roles in a healthy weight loss journey.
