A 32-year-old man was found dead in a hotel room near JNTU metro station in KPHB Colony on Friday, June 27. The deceased, identified as Kalwagadda Sai Kiran, had left his home in Velimela village in Sangareddy district on Thursday afternoon, informing his family that he was heading to Hyderabad in search of job opportunities.
Later that evening, at around 8.30 p.m., he called home and said his job opportunity had not materialised and that he would return the following day. His mobile phone remained switched off for most of the next day, triggering concern among family members.
According to the KPHB police, the hotel staff alerted the police after he failed to check out at the scheduled time and did not respond to repeated knocks on the door. The police reached the spot and forced entry into the room, where they found Sai Kiran lying motionless on the bed. The cause of death remains unknown.
The police said that Sai Kiran was married in 2022 and also had a daughter. He quit his job a few months ago and was looking for employment opportunities at the time of his death. Following a complaint by his father, Kalwagadda Jangaiah, who expressed suspicion over the circumstances, a case has been booked by the KPHB police, and an investigation is underway.
