Four killed in accident on Bengaluru-Mysuru highway

Four persons were killed when a speeding car lost control and crashed into the parapet wall of the Bengaluru-Mysuru access controlled highway on the outskirts of Ramanagara in the early hours of Sunday (July 13, 2025).

The incident occurred at Jayapura gate. The deceased have been identified as Thamanna Gowda (27), Mutthuraj (55), Sanju (28), and car driver Sachin (27).

The victims hailed from Mandya and K.R. Pete and were on their way to attend a family function in Ramanagara.

The driver, who was reportedly overspeeding, lost control and crashed into the parapet wall. Due to the impact, the car overturned and was heavily damaged.

The Ramanagara traffic police have registered a case and are probing further.
