Cordelia Cruises has entered a significant agreement with Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd (NCLH) for the transfer of two vessels—Norwegian Sky and Norwegian Sun. The Sun-class ships will be integrated into Cordelia’s fleet as part of its expansion strategy to enhance cruise travel offerings for Indian travellers. Each ship spans approximately 850 feet and can accommodate around 2,000 guests and 900 crew members, significantly increasing the cruise line’s operational scale.

The ships will feature over 1,000 cabins, with options ranging from solo staterooms to balcony suites. Guests can expect multiple specialty dining options, an onboard theatre, entertainment venues, casinos, wellness facilities, and dedicated family zones. This development will allow Cordelia to offer longer itineraries and reach more ports across India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
Cordelia Cruises plans to announce the deployment timeline and destinations in the coming months. Since its launch in 2021, Cordelia has hosted over 600,000 guests and aims to make cruise holidays more accessible and aspirational for the Indian market. The addition of these ships signals the company’s continued commitment to shaping India’s cruise tourism future.
