A 29-year-old conservancy worker was murdered by his neighbour over previous enmity in Ambattur on Saturday night.
Avadi Police said the victim, Arunachalam, was a resident of Kamarajapuram in Ambattur. He had a previous enmity with his neighbour Vinod.
His mother used to abuse his neighbour, Vinod, regularly. Because of this, Vinod threatened Arunachalam of dire consequences.
On Saturday night, following an argument, Vinod took out a knife and stabbed Arunachalam several times.
Arunachalam died on the spot.
Ambattur police sent the body to Government Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem.
