CII-Telangana to host meet on industrial safety in pharma, chemical sector in Hyderabad on June 25

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Telangana will organise a conference on industrial safety in pharma and chemical sector in Hyderabad on June 25.

Best practices in Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and operational safety; regulatory updates and compliance frameworks; risk management, hazard control and incident prevention; and case studies on innovation and safe manufacturing systems are to be discussed. The conference seeks to foster dialogue, share best practices and promote a culture of safety and resilience in industrial operations while supporting Telangana’s vision of doubling value of the life sciences ecosystem and positioning Hyderabad as Asia’s pharma hub.

EHS and Compliance Officers, plant and site heads, QA/QC and regulatory affairs professionals, research and development experts, consultants and policy influencers would be the target audience, the organisers said in a release on Thursday (June 19, 2025).

It is a timely initiative to bring together all key voices and build a culture where safety is embedded into every layer of industrial operations, CII-Telangana chairman R. Sivaprasad Reddy said.

“As we accelerate towards global excellence in life sciences manufacturing, safety cannot be an afterthought,” CII Telangana Pharma and Life Sciences Committee convener Chakravarthi AVPS said.

The conference assumes significance as there have been a spate of industrial accidents in pharma units in Telangana and neighbouring Andhra Pradesh in recent years.
