Auroville’s fragrance-based product maker Maroma is hosting a ceramic art show beginning Monday featuring artists from the bio-region and Puducherry.

“Touching the Sublime”, hosted by Maroma’s cultural branch, MAJI, (July 14-August 23) and curated by Supriya Menon Meneghetti, ceramic artist herself, brings together diverse artistic voices rooted in sustainability, spiritual inquiry, and cultural harmony, a press note said.

The artists showcasing their works are Indrani Singh Cassime, Kirti Chandak, Paul Pinthon, Priya Sundaravalli and Ranjita Bora.

Featuring ceramics, art candles, and paintings, the show offers a visual dialogue between nature and form, inner and outer worlds, tradition and experimentation.

A preview of the show on Saturday was attended by Laura Reddy, Maroma CEO, artists and art patrons. The expo is not a mere showcase of art, but represents a meditative space, Ms. Meneghetti told visitors.

Following the formal launch at 4 p.m. on Monday, the event will be open from 9 am to 5 pm (Monday through Saturday) at the Maroma Art Gallery, Aspiration Street, Auroville.
