A 19-year-old college student was killed after an unidentified vehicle hit the two-wheeler on which he was riding pillion in Thirumangalam on Monday (July 28, 2025) night.
The Traffic Police said Abishek and Nitin Sai were residents of Ayanavaram, studying at a private college. On Monday evening, Abishek had taken Nitin Sai on his two-wheeler to a restaurant on School Road, Anna Nagar West Extension. After dinner, they were returning home on School Road towards Park Road, Thirumangalam, when a speeding car hit their vehicle from behind and sped off.
Both were thrown off the vehicle, and Nitin Sai was killed on the spot. Abishek sustained injuries and was admitted in the Government Royapettah Hospital.
Thirumangalam Traffic Investigation police have filed a case and are searching for the car that hit the two-wheeler.
