Water level in Mullaperiyar dam stood at 136.15 feet (the maximum permissible level is 142 ft.) with an inflow of 3,720 cusecs and a discharge of 2,117 cusecs. In Vaigai dam, the level was 60.04 ft. (the maximum level is 71 ft.) with an inflow of 1,884 cusecs and a discharge of 2,469 cusecs. Combined storage in Periyar credit was 8,384.89 mcft. Rainfall recorded in the 24 hours ending at 6 a.m. on Sunday was (in mm): Mullaperiyar dam 44.8, Thekkadi 31.4, Shanmuganadhi dam 6.4, Uthamapalayam 2.8 and Gudalur 2.6.
