Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Simhachalam experienced a heavy rush on Saturday. Thousands of pilgrims gathered to have darshan of the deity and queued up from early in the morning.
According to temple authorities, the rush was due to a public holiday and the conclusion of the summer vacation, prompting visitors from various regions to visit the temple.
In response to the large crowd, Simhachalam Devasthanam Executive Officer V. Trinadh Rao supervised the situation and ensured that the queue lines moved swiftly and devotees were able to complete their darshan without any delays.
Given the hot weather, temple staff distributed buttermilk, drinking water, and biscuits to keep devotees comfortable, he added.
