Stalin raising delimitation issue only to divert people’s attention, says L. Murugan

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is speaking about the delimitation exercise only to divert public attention, said Union Minister of State L. Murugan in Coimbatore on Saturday (June 7, 2025).

Even as no one has spoken about the delimitation exercise and when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have assured that no one will be affected by the process once it is taken up, Mr. Stalin keeps raising the issue only to divert the attention of people, he alleged.

Mr. Murugan further said that the Bihar and Telangana governments had conducted a caste census, and alleged that Mr. Stalin had no intention of undertaking such an exercise. The DMK government has failed the people of the State over the last four years and the common man is in distress because of the hike in property tax and electricity tariff, as well as corruption in TASMAC, he alleged. Mr. Stalin, however, keeps blaming the Centre, he said.
