Ainapur village in Kalaburagi district records season’s highest temperature


Kalaburagi district on Saturday recorded 42.8 degrees Celsius, the highest in the State this season so far, as per the summary of observations recorded by the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC).

In the last 24 hours, the temperature shot up to 40 degrees Celsius in almost 17 places across Kalaburagi district. Ainapur village in Chincholi taluk recorded 42.8 degrees Celsius followed by Nimbarga tanda at Alant taluk with 42.2 degrees Celsius, and Pattan village in Kalaburagi taluk recorded 42 degrees Celsius.

The temperature recorded at Kodli in Kalagi taluk and Madan Hipparga in Aland taluk was 41.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Ijeri in Yadrami taluk with 41.4 degrees Celsius; Sulepeth in Chincholi taluk and Shahabad recorded identical temperature of 41.3 degrees Celsius.

Khajuri, Ambalga,Adki, Atanur, Andola, Karajagi, Farhatabad recorded above 40 degrees Celsius. While the lowest temperature recorded in the district was at Yadrami town at 40.2 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the temperature crossed 41 degrees Celsius in Yadgir and Raichur

As per data by the KSNDMC, the highest temperature, 41.8 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Saidapur, while 41.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Hattikuni, and 41.3 degrees Celsius in Wadagera. Konkal, and Kodekal recorded 41 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Doranahalli, Balichakra, and Kakkera was above 40 degrees Celsius.

Yadgir Deputy Commissioner B. Susheela has appealed to the public to stay indoors between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

In Raichur district, the highest temperature, 41.9 degrees Celsius , was recorded in Gurgunta and Kallur. While 41.7 degrees Celsius was recorded in Huda, and Gabbur saw 41.1 degrees Celsius.

Between 40 degrees Celsius and 41 degrees Celsius were recorded in Manvi, Walkamdinni, Gillesugur, Jalahalli, Kurdi, Hanaganal, Chandrabanda, and Salagundi.
