As many as 88 girl students of Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology (VVIT) have been selected for jobs in the software giant Infosys in a campus placement drive conducted by the college management, in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh Information Technology Academy.
A statement released by the institute chairman Vasireddy Vidyasagar on Friday said a majority of the selected girls were from rural background. He said the annual salary packages offered to the selected candidates ranged between ₹3.6 lakh and ₹9.5 lakh per annum.
College Principal Y. Mallikarjun Reddy, Dean (Academic) K. Giribabu, Dean (Placements) M.V. Raghu Ram, Placement and Training Officer U. Madhav and others congratulated the selected students.
