142nd death anniversary of Karl Marx observed


The 142nd death anniversary of Karl Marx was observed at the State Teachers’ Union (STU) office here on Friday (March 14). The Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship (ISCUF) and the Communist Party of India (CPI) jointly paid homage to the revolutionary socialist leader.

The organisers garlanded a portrait of Karl Marx and spoke about his struggle and the exposition of the philosophy for the working class movement.

ISCUF State secretary Tunga Sridhar Rao and CPI district secretary S. Nagaraju recalled the legacy of Karl Marx in shaping and guiding the labour movement all over the world. Highlighting the role of the Marxist ideology in spearheading the workers’ movements, the speakers credited Karx Marx with the strengthening of trade unionism globally.
