The ‘bhoomi puja’ for the construction of the yagashala was performed under the leadership of Rejeti Sri Ramacharyulu, at the APIIC Grounds, behind the Kali Mata Temple at Ramakrishna Beach, here, on Sunday.
Speaking to the media, Mr. Sri Ramacharyulu said:” In the past, sages used to perform many yagas to protect Sanatana Dharma. Narayana Nandagiri Maharaj, founder of Sanatana Dharma Foundation, has decided to conduct 12 yagas across the country for world peace to prevent disasters. The first of the yagas would be performed in Visakhapatnam from August 7 to 10. A procession of Sri Lakshmi Narayana Shoba yatra will be taken out through the streets of Visakhapatnam.”
On August 8, rituals such as suprabhata seva, veda parayanam, golden flower parchana, vishwaksena puja, garuda flag pratishta, agni pratishtha, several homas, and veda parayanam will conducted in the model temple set up within the premises of the yagashala.
On August 9, the programme includes srimannarayana vratham, discourses by prominent peethadhipas, swamijis, scholars, laghu poornahuti and veda parayanam would be organised.
On the last day, the yagam will conclude with homams. Sanatana Dharma Sarkashana Sabha and cultural programs would also be held.
During the three days of the srimannarayana yagam, annadana prasadam will be distributed to devotees every afternoon, and sagara aarti will be performed at RK Beach every evening.
